The Highlands is a primarily residential community, rural in nature, and has an exceptional abundance of scenic beauty. Located just northwest of Victoria, one third of this area is protected parkland, either provincially or municipally. Home owners in this area are asked to build their homes in a way that leaves the least impact on the environment.
