Real Estate in Victoria is expecting a decline of approximately 15% in the number of sales for the month on October 2023.
Darren Day, a leading Realtor in Victoria BC receives weekly reports from the Victoria real estate board. As of October 23, 2023 there were 284 unconditional sales reported for the month of October compared to 480 sales at the end of October 2022, which suggest a possible decline of approximately 15 to 20% fewer home sales for this month.
Day says the market is always driven by supply and demand and with the volume of listings increasing and slower home sales, prices could follow suit moving toward the holiday season. That said, there are still good buying and selling opportunities for buyers and sellers, even in this market.
