The city of Colwood is located on the coast of Vancouver Island and is just 10km away from downtown Victoria. This up and coming area, currently home to 16,000 people, is rich in history and has some of the best coastal views on the island.

Colwood is divided in many residential areas such as, Triangle Mountain, Colwood Creek, Colwood Lake Estates, Wishart, and Lagoon area. There are business centres at Colwood Corners and Hatley Park. There are approximately 800 businesses in Colwood, which offers huge opportunities for employment. Colwood is home to Royal Roads University, which is based out of the famous Hatley Castle, and also has tight partnerships with Camosun College and the University of Victoria.  

This area offers a large variety of recreational pursuits. For the outdoorsperson Colwood has many parks, trails, nature reserve, and beaches to explore and enjoy. For the golf enthusiast, Colwood has the Royal Colwood and Olympic View golf courses, as well as the nine hole Juan de Fuca course. Colwood also features the new Juan de Fuca recreation centre which includes the arena, swimming pool, weight room, curling rink, and so much more. The lower park is home to The Q Centre. Juan de Fuca Golf Course and Kinsmen Fieldhouse. There is something for everyone in Colwood.
